Entrance/Exit Counseling
Entrance counseling

Before you received the first disbursement of your Federal Stafford or Federal Perkins Loan, you should have completed an entrance interview. The entrance interview informed you of your rights and responsibilities as a borrower.

Exit counseling

As a student loan borrower, you must complete an exit interview whenever you drop below half-time enrollment status, withdraw or graduate. This exit interview informs you of your rights and responsibilities.

Online counseling

Entrance and exit interviews may be completed online at Mapping Your Future, if your college is a participating member. Contact your college to find out how they handle exit counseling.
