Student Information at My Zone Payment Process at My Zone The IVG Program is an entitlement program, meaning that, by statute, the student is not responsible for payment of tuition and eligible fees if program funds are insufficient to pay all claims. In addition, if an applicant is eligible for both the IVG Program and the Monetary Award Program (MAP) grant, the IVG benefits must be used first. A student cannot decline IVG benefits in favor of using MAP benefits, nor can a school claim MAP funds to cover an IVG shortfall. IVG Claims are to be submitted to cover the student's cost of tuition (including fees that meet the definition of tuition) and mandatory fees. Institutions billing IVG for coverage of aviation, truck driving/CDL, etc., programs must only bill for costs that meet the definition of tuition and mandatory fees. A student who previously received IVG benefits for nonmandatory fees can continue to receive benefits covering such fees while he or she is enrolled in a continuous program of study.IVG benefits covering nonmandatory fees will no longer be paid if the student fails to enroll during an academic term unless he or she is serving on federal active duty. Recipients attending out-of-district community colleges receive tuition and fees benefits equivalent to the in-district rates and are not responsible for paying the difference between in-district and out-of-district tuition {ISAC Rules, Section 2733.30 (f)}. An online payment process which allows colleges to submit IVG Program payment requests via File Transfer Protocol (FTP), as well as via the My Zone portal was introduced beginning with the 2007-08 academic year. To assist schools in the review and reconciliation of IVG payment data, enhanced Payment Results reports including revisions to the existing Payment Claim reports and the addition of a Late Claim and Invoice reports are available to retrieve from IVG Online Payment at My Zone. Details of the additional reports and enhancements to existing reports are discussed by accessing Payment Results Reports in the IVG Reports section at My Zone. Payment Reminder: Summer leads the academic year for IVG. Be sure to use the appropriate tuition and fees (i.e., 2007-08 tuition and fees for the 2007-08 academic year) when claiming payment for any term in the academic year. Student Information at My Zone

Institutions generate and submit payment requests. ISAC does not know which school the student is attending until the payment request is received. (There are no announcement rosters for this program). When submitting payment requests, the institution is certifying that the student meets all eligibility criteria.
Payment claims can be submitted via either FTP or the My Zone portal, by the payment claims deadline dates established for each term. Payment Claim reports and Invoice reports to assist schools in the review and reconciliation of IVG payment data, can be accessed from the left menu of IVG Online Payment at My Zone. |
