For students who list their class level as freshman on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have a calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of zero (0), their MAP announcement letters include information explaining that they have applied for the IIA Grant. This letter acknowledges receipt of the student's application, but does not include an award amount. Students are referred to the Silas Purnell Illinois for Access (IIA) Program Information Sheet on the back of the announcement letter for more details regarding the IIA Grant. As a reminder, letters from ISAC are dated and mailed three business days after the ISAC processing of the ISIR record. 2008-09 Silas Purnell Illinois for Access (IIA) Program Information Sheet As part of the Monetary Award Program Automated Delivery Process (ADP), the Award Announcement is initiated by the school. The school sends an announcement of an estimated IIA Grant amount to the student on the school's award letter. Schools are required to announce MAP and IIA awards to the students enrolled at their institutions, including students who are only eligible for a 2nd semester/2nd and 3rd quarter award.
