STS Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the STS matching grant, a student shall:

• be enrolled at a participating Illinois public university or a participating Illinois public community college;
• be an undergraduate student; and
• demonstrate financial need by completing the FAFSA.

STS funds can be used for undergraduates who are otherwise eligible for a Monetary Award Program (MAP) grant but have maximized their eligibility units.
