2012-13 Application 2012-13 The 2012-13 Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver (SETTW) Application/Teaching Agreement/Promissory Note is available to print from CollegeZone. For priority consideration, ISAC must receive a complete application postmarked on or before March 1, 2012. Refer to the Application Procedures for SETTW page within this section, to learn more about the application process. 2011-12 The Illinois Special Education Teacher Tuition Waiver Program (SETTW) is a tuition waiver for attendance at public universities in Illinois. Awards are not subject to annual appropriations by the Illinois General Assembly and the Governor. Enrollment Status Verification Each year, colleges are required to verify the enrollment statuses for recipients in the programs with teaching requirements and practice agreements. Verification of 2010-11 enrollment status is required for all recipients who, according to our records, are enrolled at your school. ISAC monitors recipients’ fulfillment of the program requirements for:
The TESP Enrollment Status Verification rosters can be completed online at My Zone, which is available each Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (CT). The completed TESP Enrollment Status Verification rosters and TWCFs must be submitted electronically via My Zone within 45 calendar days after the rosters are available at My Zone (i.e., rosters dated October 25, 2011 must be returned to ISAC on or before December 9, 2011). Refer to the Program Requirements/Practice Agreement page within in the Gift Assistance area for each of the programs listed above for details about the teaching requirement, extensions, deferments and repayment. Verification Rosters and Certification Forms The 2011-12 SETTW Verification Rosters and Certification forms listing the students who were awarded in April were mailed to colleges on June 24, 2011. The verification roster is used to verify enrollment and program eligibility for each qualified applicant selected to receive a tuition waiver who indicated on the application that they would attend your school during the 2011-12 academic year. Completed forms are due back to ISAC on or before September 30, 2011. Refer to the Tuition Waiver Process in the SETTW section, for a sample roster, instructions for certifying eligibility for the tuition waiver and an example of the cover letter. Information about teaching requirements is also available within this SETTW section. Award Notifications and Rights and Responsibilities forms for the Illinois Special Education Teachers Tuition Waiver (SETTW) program were sent to 250 eligible applicants on April 25, 2011 for the 2011-12 academic year. A letter was sent to all other qualified applicants who were not selected. Refer to Determining Awards for SETTW within this section of the Gift Assistance area, for more information about the award process and links to a sample of the Award Notification and Rights & Responsibilities form. ISAC is no longer accepting applications for the 2011-12 Illinois SETTW Program. All 2011-12 tuition waivers have been awarded, with priority consideration given to those complete applications postmarked on or before March 1, 2011. The application for the 2012-13 academic year is scheduled to be available at the CollegeIllinois website in the fall of 2011.
