2012-13

Funds were not allocated by the Illinois General Assembly for the FY13 Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Program.  As a result, ISAC will not be able to reimburse institutions for 2012-13 IVG awards.  However, payment requests still must be submitted so eligibility units can be accurately assessed to students’ accounts.

Announcement Roster

Effective July 31, 2012, the Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Announcement Rosters for the 2012-13 academic year are available online at My Zone. The ING Grant Announcement Roster provides information for each applicant who has applied for the ING Grant with your institution listed as the college of record, and for whom the Illinois Department of Military Affairs (IDMA) has confirmed eligibility as of the date printed at the top of the first page of the roster. The date on the initial set of 2012-13 rosters corresponds to the date on the student letters (both are dated July 30, 2012).

Interactive Application

The online interactive 2012-13 Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant application is available to students. The academic year field will default to 2012-13 when the application is launched. While applications can be entered online immediately, ISAC will not begin processing 2012-13 applications until after the close of the 2011-12 academic year. Students can expect to receive a Notice of Eligibility letter in early August, 2012.

The Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant application must be received at ISAC on or before the deadline dates for which grant assistance is requested.

• October 1– full year consideration 
• March 1 – second semester, second and/or third quarter consideration 
• June 15 – summer-term consideration only

Applications received by ISAC after these deadline dates will be processed only for subsequent terms, with June 15 as the final date of acceptance for the summer term.

Payment

As was announced in a July 3 e-Message, ISAC will not be able to reimburse institutions for 2012-13 ING Grant awards. However, payment requests still must be submitted so eligibility units can be accurately assessed to students' accounts. The ING Grant payment rosters for the fall term will be available for colleges to access via My Zone in early fall.
