Notification of Eligibility Available at My Zone

The of Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Announcement Rosters for the 2008-09 academic year are available online at My Zone. The ING Grant Announcement Roster provides information for each applicant who has applied for the ING Grant with your institution listed as the college of record, and for whom the Illinois Department of Military Affairs (IDMA) has confirmed eligibility as of the date printed at the top of the first page of the roster.

This initial set of 2008-09 rosters (dated August 13, 2008) corresponds to student letters dated August 13th and includes data for complete applications received through the end of May 2008. As a reminder, new announcement rosters are posted at My Zone when eligibility verifications are received from IDMA, possibly each day.

The ING Grant Announcement Rosters, which are designed to assist in the financial aid packaging process by notifying colleges of eligible ING Grant applicants, may be used in place of collecting copies of the Notice of Eligibility letter than ISAC sends to students.

Payment

A 2007-08 ING Payment Request Roster and Certification Form for the summer term was mailed to colleges on June 18, 2008. Although no summer term payment claims will be paid by ISAC, a roster listing individuals whose applications were received by the June 15th deadline was sent so that eligibility units can be collected for applicants who are eligible for payment. Also enclosed in the packet was an ING Supplemental Payment Request Form and an Out-of-District Tuition Claim Form. All forms are due back to ISAC on or before July 18th.

Payment Proration History

Proration of 2007-08 Spring Term Payment Claims

As announced in a May 14th e-Message, timely second and/or third term claims for the 2007-08 ING Grant Program will be prorated at 72.64% due to a funding shortfall, (i.e., $72.64 will be paid for every $100.00 of eligibility). Institutions will be responsible for a percentage (27.36%) of each eligible student's 2007-08 timely second or third term award, and will be responsible for 100% of all eligible students' summer claims and late claims (i.e., claims that were submitted after the due dates for each term's claims).

2007-08 ING Grant payment vouchers, along with an Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant Spring Term Claim Proration Worksheet (2007-08 Academic Year), will be sent to schools in the coming weeks. These documents will state the prorated amount paid to the institution for 2007-08 ING Grant spring term claims.
