Illinois National Guard (ING) Grant

An ING Grant Announcement Roster provides information for each applicant who has applied for the ING grant with your institution listed as their school of record and for whom the Illinois Department of Military Affairs (IDMA) has confirmed eligibility as of the date printed at the top of the roster.

The roster is designed to notify schools of eligible ING applicants only once, it is not a cumulative report. A description of the ING Announcement Roster and examples of the Notice of Eligibility letters can be found within the Gift Assistance Programs section of College Zone.

Reminders for the 2007-08 Academic Year:

• The content and format of the ING Grant Announcement Roster has not changed.
• Rosters will be available whenever there is a new or updated eligible record for the college. While a new roster could potentially be available on a daily basis, the college may not have students that appear on a rosters each day . It is recommended that the college check My Zone at least once a week for new rosters that may have been posted for the 2007-08 academic year.
• Rosters for the current and the previous academic years will be maintained on My Zone. In 2007-08, the ING Academic Year Selection Screen will display 2006-07 and 2007-08. 
• The ING Grant Announcement Roster creation date (date at the top of the roster) will be the same as the date that is printed on the Notice of Eligibility letter that is sent to the applicant.
• The roster is designed to notify colleges of each eligible ING Grant applicant only once. It is not a cumulative report.
• The roster notification of eligibility may be used in place of collecting copies of the Notice of Eligibility letter that ISAC sends to students.

The ING Grant Announcement Roster includes:

• SSN – Applicant’s Social Security Number listed in numerical order
• Last Name – Applicant's last name
• First Name – Applicant’s first name
• MI – Applicant’s middle initial
• Restrictions - If "NONE" is displayed, the applicant is eligible to be paid for the full academic year.  If the Illinois Department of Military Affairs has indicated that restrictions apply, the"Until" date denotes the last day the applicant is qualified to be paid and the "After" date denotes the date from which payment can start.
• Eligibility Units Used - cumulative number of Eligibility Units used
• As Of - the term date that corresponds to the the Total Eligibility Units Used
• Eligible Term(s) - the applicant is eligible for payment for the term(s) listed which is based on the date the complete application was received at ISAC.
