Printing the Student Certifications: List

When the TESP Certifications is selected from the My Zone Program Selection screen, the Student Certifications: List screen displays. The left margin includes Student Certifications and Reports.

The Student Certifications: List screen displays all of the IFTC and MTI applicants, sorted by Social Security Number (SSN) in ascending order, for whom an Initial Certification record has been created for that school. An Initial Certification record is created when the student’s TESP Application is complete.

A Filter and/or Sort function can be applied to the Student Certifications: List screen to customize how information is displayed. The Filter feature can be used alone or in conjunction with the Sort function. The Student Certifications: List screen can be printed using the “print” command in the browser but only what is displayed on the screen will print. There are six standard reports that can be viewed online, printed and/or saved in MS Excel format or PDF format. 

Data Available to View 

The following fields display on the on the Student Certifications: List screen. 

• Complete 
• Complete Indicator Column – A check mark displays in this box after the school has certified and completed the “Student Certifications Detail Screen.”
• Student Detail Edit Icon - Click on the icon to access to the “Student Certifications Detail” screen. 
• SSN –Applicant’s Social Security Number.
• Last Name - Applicant’s last name.
• First Name - Applicant's first name.
• Middle Initial - Applicant's middle initial 
• Status – A blank status code displays when the certification is available to be completed. A status code is returned to My Zone for complete certification records on the following business day after the certification record is processed.
• Program(s) Applied – IFTC or MTI.  There will be two records if a student applied for both programs.
• Application Received Date - Date a complete application was received at ISAC. 
• Applicant Category – Timely Renewal, Timely New or Untimely
• Term  -.  Semester schools: 1S, 2S, Summer term; Quarter Schools: 1Q, 2Q, 3Q, Summer term. Terms that aren’t applicable to the school type or program cannot be accessed. 
• Certification Creation Date – Date the Initial Certification record s created and is available in My Zone
• Certification Completion Date - Date the Initial Certification is completed.

Page Display

The number of pages of the Student Certifications: List displays at the bottom of the screen. e.g., Displaying results: 1-20 (of 100)

• Number of rows on each page is defaulted to a minimum of 20. The rows per page can be increased by changing the Rows per page setting in the bottom right corner of the screen. The maximum number of rows per page can be set at 100. 
• Rows will not wrap to the next line. Consequently, depending on the setting for the desktop (PC) screen area display (e.g., 640X480 pixels), the scroll bar that appears at the bottom of the screen may need to be used in order to view all data.
• Links to First Page, Next Page, Prev Page and Last Page display at the bottom of the screen.

How to Filter

The Filter function allows the user to designate what records are displayed on the Student Certifications: List screen. Once the Filter is applied to the data, only the resulting records meeting the Filter criteria will be displayed on the Student Certifications: List screen.

Define the Filter criteria by selecting a Field Name, an Operator, and a Value. The Filter criteria can be defined for only one column at a time.

• Select a Field Name from the drop-down box (see Filter criteria below); 
• Select an operator (Equal to (=), Greater Than (>), or Less Than (<);  
• Enter a Value;
• Select the View Tab after the Filter criteria are defined;. 
• Select “Student Certifications” from the left menu to return to the full list view.

Filter Criteria

How to Sort

A sort can be applied to underlined columns in the Student Certifications: List or after a filter has been applied.

• Click once on an underlined column header to apply the Sort function. Only one column at a time may be sorted.
• An up or down arrow next to the column heading indicates the sort order. (Ascending or descending). 

Totals

A Totals button, found at the bottom of the Student Certifications: List screen, launches a popup screen that summarizes the number of completed and outstanding certifications, as well as the number of certifications by program, at the college. This feature can be used to obtain cumulative totals, rather than scrolling through individual certifications and a large number of pages. The Totals popup screen contains the following data:

• Total # of Cumulative Certifications Completed
• Total # of Cumulative Certifications Outstanding
• Total # of Cumulative MTI
• Total # of Cumulative IFTC

Each time the Totals feature is accessed; it will reflect the most current data available.  Consequently, different values will be displayed if Totals are accessed at different points as a school works on certification records via My Zone.

Printing the Student Certifications: List Screen

To print the Student Certifications: List screen, select the <File> option from the toolbar in the browser. Depending on the setting for the desktop (PC) screen area display (e.g., 640X480 pixels), not all columns may appear on a single sheet of paper. Consequently, printing from the browser command will produce only what displays on the screen. Remember, you can print a full report in MS Excel or PDF.

Requesting a Report

TESP Certification at My Zone includes six standard reports (Outstanding Certifications for IFTC and MTI, Outstanding Certifications for IFTC, Outstanding Certifications for MTI, Completed Certifications for IFTC and MTI, Completed Certifications for IFTC and Completed Certifications for MTI.) that can be accessed by selecting one of the titles under Reports from the left menu.
