Student to Student Grant
The number of grants made through this program, as well as the individual dollar amount awarded, are subject to sufficient annual appropriations by the Illinois General Assembly and the Governor.

Program Funding: On July 15, 2009, the Governor and state legislators reached an agreement regarding the fiscal year 2010 (FY2010) state budget, which determines funding levels for
2009-10 programs. Included in that  budget are funds to make Student to Student (STS) Program of Matching Grants awards for the 2009-10 academic year.

The Student to Student (STS) Program of Matching Grants is available to undergraduates at participating state-supported colleges through voluntary contributions from students and matching grants from the State. Each participating college determines its own eligibility criteria and application process.

Contact the financial aid office at your college to discuss whether you may be eligible to receive funds from the STS Program.
