On April 1, 2007, Federal Student Aid launched its new financial aid estimator tool, FAFSA4caster. This online resource may be used by high school juniors and their families to obtain early estimates of the expected family contribution (EFC) and potential Federal Pell Grant eligibility. FAFSA4caster is a companion piece to the official FAFSA on the Web. Students who submit information to the FAFSA4caster system will receive a confirmation page with their results, but no information will be forwarded to colleges.
