A January 30, 2007 Newsweek article discusses the debate regarding random drug testing in public middle and high schools. Four regional summits have been scheduled by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, to promote a program in which grants are provided to schools that require random drug testing for students participating in extra-curricular activities (such as athletics). The article provides opposing views, from both those who support and those who oppose the program.
The article is available at the MSNBC Web site.
