Increase in Number of Students Learning Multiple Languages
1/10/2007

According to a January 10, 2007 article from USA Today, an increasing number of students are learning multiple languages. In a world that is becoming more and more globalized, parents believe their children will be better prepared for the future if they are able to communicate in several languages. Some children begin language classes when they are six months old. The younger individuals are when they start to learn new languages, the more successful they will be. Research also suggests that young children who learn foreign languages perform better in school and are proficient at problem solving as they grow older.

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.
