According to an October 1, 2006 article from The Associated Press, more colleges are actively recruiting home-schooled students. In an effort to enroll top students, some colleges are updating their Web sites with information specific to those who have been home schooled, as well as offering special recruiting sessions for these students. At many colleges, admissions standards for home-schooled students are nearly identical to those for students who graduated from a traditional high school.
