Illinois Students See Increase in ACT Test Scores
8/17/2006

An August 16, 2006 press release from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announces that ACT exam results for Illinois students in the class of 2006 reflect the largest increase in five years. All racial/ethnic groups saw an increase in their 2006 average test scores. Experts attribute the increase in test results to encouraging all Illinois high school students to take a curriculum aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards.

The press release is available at the IBSE Web site.
