Study Confirms that Distractions Have Negative Impact on Learning
7/25/2006

According to a July 25, 2006 article from the Chicago Sun-Times, a recent study shows that the learning process is hindered when there are outside forces (such as television or video games) distracting the learner. Although it may be possible for a student to learn something while multitasking (e.g., watching television while studying), that student is less likely to retain the knowledge over an extended period of time.

The article is available at the Chicago Sun-Times Web site.
