U.S. Colleges Could Be More Involved in Corporate Training
6/16/2006

According to a June 13, 2006 article from Bloomberg News, U.S. companies (both public and private) provide a $13 billion dollar market for job-related training that colleges may not be serving to the fullest extent possible. The education industry research organization, Eduventures LLC, recently released a report that indicates companies rate U.S. colleges highly for program quality, but not for customizing programs to meet the specific needs of individual companies or industries. In addition, many of the 500 corporate training administrators who participated in the Eduventures survey indicated that colleges need to improve their ability to keep up with market innovations.
