Many Baby Boomers Reinventing Themselves via Community Colleges
6/15/2006

According to an article appearing in the June 19, 2006 issue of Newsweek, many baby boomers are enrolling in classes at community colleges rather than retiring. Affordable prices, along with programs focusing on skills that are marketable in the local economy, are among the reasons that community colleges are appealing to these individuals. While some are motivated by the reality that they cannot afford to retire, others are simply taking the opportunity to learn a trade in which they've always been interested.

The article is available at the Newsweek section of the MSNBC.com Web site.
