Teens Work over Summer Months to Save Money for College
5/30/2006

According to a May 22, 2006 press release, a poll recently conducted by Junior Achievement (JA) shows that the majority of teens who work over the summer are doing so to save money for college. In previous years, the leading reason teens reported they worked was to earn extra disposable income. Rising college costs are believed to be the main factor causing teens to alter their reasons for working.

The press release, which includes a link to full details from the poll, is available at the JA Web site.
