Parents Encouraged to Discuss College Financing with Their Children

A May 19, 2006 article from Kiplinger Magazine encourages parents to openly communicate with their children regarding their ability to finance a college education. Before beginning the college selection process, students should have a firm understanding regarding what portion of their higher education expenses their parents are prepared to pay. In addition, parents are encouraged to help their students consider whether their intended career will generate enough income to pay any debt incurred while attending the college(s) they are considering.
