College Seniors Optimistic about Job Market
5/2/2006

According to an article dated May 1, 2006, a recent survey from Yahoo! HotJobs shows that this year's college seniors, as well as students about to complete their graduate degrees, are optimistic about future job prospects. More than half of those surveyed expect their job search to include fewer than five companies and last less than three months, and over two-thirds are confident they will obtain a position in their chosen field. The majority of survey respondents indicated that they anticipate starting at the bottom of a company and then working their way up. The top fields in which those surveyed will be seeking employment are advertising, public relations, marketing, finance, business and healthcare.
