Online Courses Becoming More Popular with College Students
1/17/2006

A January 13, 2006 article from The Associated Press reports that the popularity of online courses is growing among U.S. college students. More than 2 million people took at least one online course in 2004. Although the original intent of offering courses over the Internet was to provide an alternative for nontraditional students who might find it difficult to attend classes on a college campus, current trends show that many on-campus students are also choosing the online option.
