Tips for College-Bound Students
11/15/2005

A November 13, 2005 article from USA Today provides high school students with tips for the college admission process. Experts encourage applicants to be honest regarding any prior disciplinary issues, health concerns or learning disabilities, explaining how the situations have made the student a stronger and more mature individual. Students should be aware that, in general, admission officers place more merit on good grades earned in challenging high school courses than on perfect grades obtained in "easy" classes. The article also briefly discusses financial aid, and how factors such as home equity or divorce may impact a student's eligibility.

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.
