A November 1, 2005 article from The Associated Press reports that, across the nation, colleges are seeing an increase in the number of male students enrolled in majors that have traditionally been dominated by females. Home economics courses, often referred to as human sciences, have significantly more men - as students and as professors. The courses cover life skills such as nutrition, fitness, and budgeting in today's society. The article is available at the USA Today Web site. |
