An October 6, 2005 article from USA Today reports that Teach for America (TFA), which sends top college graduates to teach in urban and rural schools, is celebrating its 15th anniversary. While some critics are concerned about the number of program alumni who pursue different professions after completing the required two years of teaching, others point out that even those who do not make teaching a life-long career can have a positive impact on education (for example, serving on school boards or becoming school principals).
