In an msnbc.com article, "Today" contributor Dr. Ruth Peters offers parents suggestions to help ease some of the homework frustration. One of Dr. Peters' main tactics for building a better "homeworking" relationship between parent and student is for mom or dad to become involved only after the child has completed what he can on his own. Another suggestion involves finding a "study buddy" with whom the student feels comfortable and who will be a little more fun to work with than a parent.
Other ways to motivate and assist in this sometimes frustrating process are discussed in the article available on the MSNBC Web site.
