In a News Release from the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE), higher education leaders applauded the passage of Senate Bill 575 which strengthens high school graduation requirements. The General Assembly, in its recent Spring Session, passed legislation that would mandate enhanced requirements in English, math and science, which according to James L. Kaplan, Chairman of IBHE, "will improve the readiness of high school graduates for college and for the workforce."
