A May 20, 2005 press release from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) announces the recent approval to eliminate over 100 pages of administrative rules for schools. The elimination of these rules will, among other things, helps to streamline the teacher certification process. Approximately 400 pages of rules have been approved for elimination by ISBE since last September. Also approved were amendments to other rules that will further reduce the administrative burden on Illinois schools.
