Preschool Children Learn About Nutrition
5/19/2005

According to an Associated Press article dated May 18, 2005, students in a New Jersey preschool are taught about proper nutrition as part of their daily curriculum. While the nation faces a high volume of youngsters who are obese, the Nutritional Sciences Preschool at Rutgers University encourages its students to choose fruits and vegetables instead of junk food. Along with more traditional subjects, such as reading readiness and science, the half-day preschool devotes a minimum of 30 minutes each day to nutrition lessons. In recent years, schools across the country have been adding nutrition lessons to science and other classes.
