High School Students Spending Less Time Studying

According to a May 8, 2005 article from USA Today, a recent study from Indiana University (Bloomington) found that most high school students in the United States spend three or less hours studying per week, and still receive good grades. Researchers are concerned these findings may indicate that high school students are not adequately challenged in the classroom. Some experts fear these same students will enter college or the workforce unprepared to complete the tasks required of them. The article indicates that 25% of students attending four-year colleges must complete substantial remedial work.
