A recent Internet Broadcasting article provides several ideas for activities parents can engage in with their children over the summer months to help improve literacy skills. Some of the exercises take as little as one minute, and many are designed to be part of routine daily activities (making breakfast, sitting in traffic, etc.). The information is provided by the National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL). The article is available at the NBC5 (Chicago) Web site. |
