The 2008 Illinois State Fair is more than corn dogs and butter cows. Parents and students can get money-saving advice on preparing for college - academically and financially - at the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) State Fair Booth, August 8-17. College financial aid experts will be on-hand daily to explain the many grant and loan programs available to Illinois students. Learn about the popular College Illinois!SM prepaid tuition program and Monetary Award Program (MAP), which has helped millions of Illinoisans attend college. The theme of this year’s Fair is “A Family Tradition”, and Friday, August 15 is “Futures for Kids Day” at the Fair. “Make it a ‘family tradition’ to visit ISAC’s State Fair Booth,” said Andy Davis, ISAC Executive Director. “And celebrate ‘Futures for Kids Day’ by asking about College Illinois!” The ISAC Booth will be open daily.
