According to an April 21, 2008 Business Week article, today's MBA students are more focused on a potential employer's level of social responsibility than they were five years ago. However, even though there has been an increase in the number of surveyed MBA students who list a company's social responsibility as important (25% now, versus 15% in 2002), it remains lower on the list of key factors than having a challenging job (63%) or adequate pay (49%). Experts indicate the survey results show that MBA students are now more interested in finding a balance between meeting their personal (including finances) and social needs.
