Colleges Wait to See Which Students Accept Their Admission Offers
4/8/2008

An April 4, 2008 article from The Associated Press reports that, across the country, college admission officers are waiting to see which students will accept their admission offers. Many colleges send their admission letters to students around April 1st, and ask that responses be submitted within one month's time. The recent trend at elite colleges has been to admit fewer students; if a significant number of those admitted choose not to attend, then there may be empty classroom seats in the fall.

The article is available at the MSNBC Web site.
