Mapping Your Future's Online Student Loan Counseling Reaches Milestone

According to a January 30, 2008 press release, the eight millionth Online Student Loan Counseling (OSLC) session was completed at Mapping Your Future on Thursday, January 24th by a student from Tennessee.

Mapping Your Future's OSLC is an important default prevention tool that enables student loan borrowers to understand their rights and responsibilities, while also helping colleges meet federal requirements regarding loan counseling. Over 3,000 colleges take advantage of Mapping Your Future's counseling services, which were first released in 1997 and today include sixteen separate sessions.

OSLC is a free service for colleges and borrowers, made possible through the support of Mapping Your Future's Sponsors and Friends - including the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC).
