A December 6, 2007 article provides tips for college students as they prepare for upcoming final examinations. While consistently studying from the beginning of the term is ideal, students who find themselves unprepared may still be able to perform well on exams if they are willing to put forth the necessary time and effort now. For each class, the article recommends a full week with two hours of studying per day, broken down into 45-minute study sessions that are followed by 15-minute breaks. Rather than all-night "cramming," students will benefit from getting a minimum of seven hours of sleep the night before taking a final exam.
The article is available at the Journal-Gazette/Times-Courier (Mattoon and Charleston, Illinois) Web site.
