Americans (Including Students) Doing Less Recreational Reading
11/19/2007

A November 18, 2007 USA Today article reports that Americans of all ages are doing less recreational reading. Information in the article is based on a recent report from the National Endowment for the Arts, which indicates that (as of 2005) 65% of college freshmen do little or no reading for pleasure. Experts hope that the report will encourage educators to re-evaluate the way in which literature is taught to students at all levels.

The article is available at the USA Today Web site.
