Schools Seeking Ways to Become More Environmentally Friendly

According to a May 28, 2007 article from The Associated Press, an increasing number of schools are joining the "green movement," in an effort to save money and also educate their students. Across the country, more schools are seeking ways to become environmentally friendly and energy efficient. There are currently close to 300 schools on a wait list to receive certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, which recently developed new benchmarks specifically for schools.
