Technical and Vocational Colleges
Technical and vocational colleges can prepare your child for a specific trade, job or career. Generally, these colleges offer two-year programs, though some offer three- and four-year programs, as well. Technical and vocational colleges generally issue certificates and associate’s degrees; while some may offer bachelor’s degrees. Community colleges may also offer technical and vocational courses. If your child is interested in going to college to prepare for a specific job or trade, these types of colleges may be the best option.
