2008-09 Application

The 2008-09 Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (NESP) Application is available to print from College Zone. Applications must be postmarked on or before March 1 immediately preceding the academic year for which you are requesting the scholarship, in order to receive priority consideration. Applications postmarked after that date will be given consideration for the award if, after the initial round of awarding, funding remains available. The application serves as a promissory note and requires an original signature, therefore faxes are not accepted.

Refer to the NESP Application Procedures page within this section, to learn more about the application process and the college certification requirements.

2007-08

The FY2008 appropriation for the Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (NESP) is $1,350,000.

Award Determination and Payment

The Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (NESP) payment process for the 2007-08 academic year began
September 25, 2007. An NESP Eligibility Certification/Payment Request roster will be e-mailed to participating schools whenever awards are made. A new code, 10-Decline, was added to the Ineligible Reasons legend at the bottom of the payment request roster to be used for students who choose to Decline the award.

The Eligibility Certification/Payment Request roster is due back within 30 days of the receipt date that appears in upper left corner of the roster. It is important to return Payment Rosters on a timely basis so that ISAC can monitor the fund balance and make awards to eligible unfunded students as early as possible in the academic year.

The maximum award amount for the tuition and fees in the 2007-08 academic year is $17, 482.  The maximum stipend amount is $10,000.  Each student's annual award (combined tuition, fees and stipend) may not exceed the maximum of $27,482.

Application

The 2007-08 Nurse Educator Scholarship Program (NESP) Application will remain available to print from College Zone through May 21, 2008. The priority consideration date for applications for the 2007-08 academic year was March 1, however, complete applications received at ISAC on or before May 23, 2008 will be considered as long as funding remains. The application serves as a promissory note and requires an original signature, therefore faxes are not accepted.

Refer to the NESP Application Procedures page within this section, to learn more about the application process and the college certification requirements.
