Potential MRS Awardees
ISAC sends the Merit Recognition Scholarship (MRS) Potential Awardees Roster to high schools in the spring of each year. This scholarship is funded each year through appropriations authorized by the Illinois General Assembly. Once the fiscal year state appropriation is finalized and signed by the Governor, MRS Finalists are notified by ISAC.

The purpose of sending the MRS Potential Awardees Roster is:

  • to provide the high school with this very important announcement since only changes made by the high school and conveyed to ISAC will alter who is considered a finalist; and
  • to allow one final opportunity to identify eligible students who may have been missed or to exclude students who are named as potential awardees in error.
