The online list of State Scholars is updated as changes are made during the appeal period. After the appeal period expires (typically the end of January), Illinois colleges, universities and associations of these institutions can order mailing labels (in ZIP Code order) of State Scholars at cost, to use for recruitment purposes. High School Counselors and Regional Superintendents can also order mailing labels. Requestors of labels must certify on the order form that labels will not be resold or released to others in any manner.
An online listing of 2012-13 State Scholars, (names only) displays each State Scholar alphabetically by high school, within the school's Illinois county. The local media can easily access these lists and use them to recognize the academic achievement of the State Scholars in your area.
Mailing label orders can be submitted anytime after the announcement of State Scholar Finalists but will not be produced until after the appeal period closes at the end of January.
