State Scholar Program

November

  • ISAC sends the final Announcement Rosters for State Scholar Finalists, Certificates of Achievement and award letters for students to high schools.

January

  • ISAC provides listing of names of State Scholars to Illinois colleges and universities that actively seek State Scholars for admission after the deadline to appeal a student's status passes, usually at the end of January.

Merit Recognition Scholarship Program

Spring

  • ISAC sends MRS Announcement Rosters for potential awardees to high schools.

Note: The Merit Recognition Scholarship (MRS) Program was not funded by the Illinois General Assembly in the fiscal year 2008 budget. As a result, eligible students entering college as freshmen in the fall of 2007 will not be receiving the scholarships.

Summer

  • After the Illinois General Assembly has approved funding, ISAC sends MRS award letters and MRS Applications to final MRS awardees.

Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program*

Spring

  • ISAC announces Byrd Honors awardees. Award letters and Eligibility Certification Forms are sent to new and renewal awardees and Byrd Honors Final Announcement Rosters are sent to high schools after federal funding has been approved for the academic year.

*This is a federally-funded program that is administered by ISAC.
