MRS Application Procedures
{ISAC Rules, Part 2761.30}

Qualified applicants receive an award letter and a Merit Recognition Scholarship (MRS) Application from ISAC prior to the beginning of the academic year for which the award will be used.

The student and the Illinois college, university, or national service academy must complete the application and forward it to ISAC no later than June 15 of the academic year following high school graduation.

The Merit Recognition Scholarship (MRS) Application is used to request the first MRS payment for the student.

To request transfer of MRS benefits to a new school during the academic year, the MRS recipient notifies ISAC by submitting a separate letter requesting the school change. The enrollment transfer must be reported to ISAC in order for the student to receive scholarship payments at the new school.
