{ISAC Rules, Part 2736}
The Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access (IIA) Program provides assistance to students who have a limited ability to pay for college. Its purpose is to improve access and retention for these students, and possibly to reduce the amount borrowed by them. IIA Grant funds are subject to appropriation.
Students classified as freshmen by their college with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0 on their federal Student Aid Report (SAR) may receive one grant in an amount not to exceed $500. In addition, students must be enrolled on at least a half-time basis at an IIA-participating college or university approved to participate in the IIA Grant Program, and meet the other IIA Grant eligibility requirements.
