2010-11 MAP Priority Consideration Dates

2010-11 Academic Year

The FAFSA receipt date, which is obtained from the Central Processing System (CPS), will be used by ISAC to determine if a student meets the priority consideration date. The table below shows the specific deadline date for both first-time and continuing students and shows the extent of consideration the student will be given based upon the application processing date.

Type of applicant FAFSA Receipt Date Extent of consideration given
Continuing applicants No later than August 15, 2010* Full-year award consideration
Continuing applicants On or after August 16, 2010*

Second semester/second and third quarter award consideration
First-time applicants No later than September 30, 2010* Full-year award consideration
First-time applicants On or after October 1, 2010* Second semester/second and third quarter award consideration

*  These dates are based on annual funding by the Illinois General Assembly. Students should be encouraged to file a FAFSA as soon as possible after 1/1/2010. Awards are made until funds are depleted.
