The Monetary Award Program-Automated Delivery Process (MAP-ADP) allows schools to manage MAP information through an electronic process. MAPnet is the Internet application used for electronically processing MAP and Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access (IIA) grant information. Though the basic functionality of MAPnet remains constant, there are enhancements introduced each year in addition to updates that may result from changes to either of the two grant programs.
New for 2005-06 Payment Processing
For the 2005-06 academic year, the maximum field length for "Enrollment Hours" has been expanded to five positions to accommodate a fraction of an hour. As a reminder, the 2005-06 MAP-ADP File Specifications (see below) introduced this processing change to accommodate MAP Paid Credit Hour (MPCH) tracking for quarter schools. 2005-06 MAP-ADP File Specifications
This 160-byte file layout is pertinent to schools utilizing the file extraction features of MAPnet, or sending payment requests for MAP or the Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access (IIA) Program to ISAC via File Transfer Protocol (FTP). Minimal changes have been made for 2005-06 processing and include using existing filler in two places and moving "Enrollment Hours" from Field 10 to Field 39. Additional space has been added in the enrollment hours field for schools that have classes that are less than full credit hours (i.e., 12.5 hours). This is to accommodate the Enrollment Hour conversion factor for quarter schools. If semester schools use this space, Enrollment Hours will be rounded to the nearest whole number.
