GENERAL QUESTIONS

1Q.  What is in My Zone for ING?

1A.  ING is an application within My Zone. The Illinois National Guard Grant Announcement Rosters can be viewed online, printed and saved via My Zone.

2Q.  How can I access ING?

2A.  To access ING, click on the "My Zone" quick link from the front page of the FAA Zone. If you already have a My Zone User Name and Password, simply provide it as prompted. A link for ING will appear upon log on.

New users can be added by the Administrator designated on your campus. If your school does not yet have an Administrator, access can be requested by contacting schoolservices@isac.org. The request for institutional access must come from the Director of Financial Aid.

3Q.  How many financial aid administrators can have access to ING per institution?

3A.  Each Institution must set up two Administrator accounts. It is at the Director’s discretion to determine the Administrators for your school. ISAC strongly recommends that you consider using one account for the Financial Aid Office and one account for the Bursar’s Office. If one administrator forgets their password, the second administrator can reset the password without having to contact ISAC for assistance.

ISAC has not placed a limit on the number of users an Administrator may add to ING. The Administrator, however, may choose to place a limit at his/her school.

4Q.  Do all users have the same level of access to ING?

4A.  No. The designated Administrator determines which level of access will be granted to each user. Each school may have only two Administrators.

5Q.  Does providing an e-mail address to ISAC for e-Messaging also sign me up for ING access?

5A.  No.

6Q.  How often will the ING Student Announcement Rosters be produced?

6A.  Rosters will be created any time there is new or updated eligibility information to announce to the school.

7Q.  What if I do not see a new roster?

7A.  This means that there are no new ING Grant applicants processed for your school.

8Q.  Can I access an ING Grant Announcement Rosters from a previous year.

8A.  Rosters for the current and previous academic years will be maintained on My Zone. In 2007-08, the ING Academic Year Selection Screen will display 2006-07 and 2007-08.

9Q.  Are there other enhancements to the ING Grant Announcement Rosters in 2007-08?

9A.  No.  The content and format of the ING Grant Announcement Roster has not changed in the 2007-08 academic year. Refer to the Reminders for the 2007-08 Academic Year section on the ING My Zone Programs page.

10Q.  What if I accidentally made changes to a roster file?

10A.  The roster files on the ING Web page retain the original information.
