A March 26, 2007 USA Today article reports that nearly one quarter of urban school teachers do not believe their students have the knowledge or motivation to succeed in college. Based on a study sponsored by the National School Boards Association, the article suggests that teachers who do not believe parents are involved in the educational process are most likely to predict that their students will experience failure in college.
