A March 25, 2007 article from The Associated Press reports that the U.S. testing industry is struggling to meet the national demand for assessment exams, which has resulted from the No Child Left Behind law of 2002. A small number of companies are involved in creating, printing and scoring the majority of assessment exams that are administered throughout the country. Several states - including Illinois - have experienced test result errors and/or delays due to the fact that testing companies have such a large workload.
