Illinois Recognized for Commitment to Early Childhood Education
3/15/2007

According to a March 14, 2007 press release, Governor Rod Blagojevich recently announced that a report from the National Institute for Early Education Research of Rutgers University recognized Illinois as a national leader in making preschool available to three- and four-year old children. Under Governor Blagojevich's Preschool for All program, funding for early childhood education has increased in Illinois. The press release also announces that the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) is accepting proposals from potential 2007-08 school year providers, as part of Preschool for All expansion.

The press release is available at the State of Illinois Web site.
